Junior: Certainly in her Junior year at Deer Valley, Aprile was recruited to play on the Varsity team, averaging
11.5 points per game, but it has been her defensive skill that distinguishes her, with 13 defensive rebounds,
10 offensive rebounds and two blocks in the first 13 games of the season. Aprile has been a key factor at
the guard position.
Sophomore: Aprile played both Junior Varsity and Varsity.
Awards and Recognition: She was awarded the Most Approved award
Freshman: As a freshmen, Aprile played both Freshmen and Junior Varsity.

the point guard position.

Grade school:
Aprile made the 7th and 8th grade team at Desert Sky Middle school where she really developed the
fundamentals of the game. Aprile averaging 8 points per game, but it has been
her defensive skill that distinguish her, with 12 defensive rebounds, 10 offensive rebounds and two
blocks in the first 13 games of the season. Aprile has been a key factor at the shooting guard position..

Other Interests:
• The 5'6 guard has also been involved in Deer Valley's dance team for three years.
• Aprile also played softball and competed in badminton.
• Manriquez is very active in her community, volunteering for fight for children's cancer walk and volunteering at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

• Aprile Medaliene Manriquez was born in Lynwood, California on the 1st of April, 1999. Daughter of of Obed
Manriquez Pineda and Manuela Barajas. Aprile has been playing basketball since she was just 6 years old. She played with all her older family members and is certainly teaching her younger cousin the way of basketball. Aprile wants to go to college and major in health to become a Physical Therapists but also play basketball in college.
